It is not recommended for people with hypersensitivity to sildenafil, as well as those who suffer from the following diseases: leukemia, multiple myeloma, sickle cell anemia, severe diseases, priapism and penile deformation of the cardiovascular system.
Are there any side effects from Sildenafil citrate?
Sildenafil is generally well tolerated, but there are some side effects which are rare and mild: headache, dizziness, flushing, nasal congestion, disturbance of color perception, blurred vision.
The drug is contraindicated for individuals with:
- hypersensitivity to the drug and with anatomical deformation of the penis (Peyronie's disease, angulation, cavernous fibrosis)
- increased tendency to bleed
- exacerbation of peptic ulcer disease of the gastrointestinal tract
- disruption of the liver, especially severe renal failure or cirrhosis
- diseases that develop priapism, including leukemia, multiple myeloma, and sickle cell anemia
- hypertension or severe hypotension
- various heart disease, including unstable angina, arrhythmias, and in the form of dangerous cardiac insufficiency
If the patient has suffered from myocardial infarction or a stroke, in the next six months, the drug should not be used. It is strictly forbidden simultaneous use of the drug with nitric oxide donators and nitrates or to those men who are contraindicated sexual activity.
